PAULDING:
Patty J. Shafer, age 75 died Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
She was born in Paulding Co., Ohio, on September 12, 1940 the daughter of the late Alfred “Bud” and Virginia (AuFrance) Manson. On December 21, 1962 she married Donald D. Shafer, who preceded her in death on September 3, 2009.
She is survived by two children: Debra (Daniel) Howell, and Roger Shafer; three grandchildren: Alexis, Austin, and Colton Howell; a brother, Jerry (Sharon) Manson; and sister-in-law, Betty Shafer, all of Paulding.
She is also preceded in death by infant son, Randy Shafer; brother, Richard Manson; and brother-in-law, John Shafer.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, May 14 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding with Rev. Karen Stetins officiating. Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery, Oakwood, Ohio.
Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM Friday, May 13 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 10 AM until time of services on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations made to Paulding FFA Alumni or Paulding High School Athletic Boosters.
