The passing on May 11 of our dear friend and faithful volunteer, Roger (Bucky) Sierer has left a huge hole in our hearts and at the museum. Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew him and by the members of the many clubs and organizations he was a part of.
A charter member of the John Paulding Historical Society and a director since 2008, Roger leaves behind his wife, Elaine, four children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sierer family. “Roger and I decided years ago that we both wanted donations made to the JPHS museum,” Elaine said. “He just loved spending time out there helping in any way possible.”
