Monday, July 18, 2016 – PPEC employees and the Paulding Soil & Water Conservation District teamed up last week to rebuild docks and spruce up around the Black Swamp Nature Center. Two docks were made safer by replacing old boards and adding reinforcements. Plus, ten new benches, new duck, bird, and butterfly boxes were also built to be placed around the grounds.
Heather Hunt, PPEC Member Service Representative, headed up the project, “We couldn’t have asked for better weather on the day of the project. It was absolutely beautiful! This is one of the largest projects PPEC has ever taken on, but we were up for the challenge.”
