GROVER HILL, OH:
Larry L. Fast, age 71 died Monday, August 8, 2016.
He was born December 10, 1944 in Paulding County, the son of the late Abraham and Lorraine (Prior) Fast. On December 28, 1991 he married Pamela J. Mandrell, who survives. He retired in 2002 from Kennedy Manufacturing after 23 years. He was a Latty Township Trustee for 24 years, a former Boy Scout leader for Troop #64 and a retired farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wine making, Indian artifacts, and collected American flags.
He is also survived by his children: Valerie Dotterer, Oakwood, David Fast, Ft. Wayne, Heather Miller and Erika Fast, both of Scott, Theresa (Adam) Chellis, West Salem, OH, David “Judd” (Staci) Mandrell, Atlanta; six grandchildren: Samantha (Calib) Kochel, Taylor Reichert, Valorie Doan, Austin Fast, Alexandrea Fast, Alivia Miller, Marie Chellis, Shallon Mandrell, Luke Mandrell and Levi Mandrell; and three great grandchildren: Piper, Kollin and Paige.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and John Fast, and his faithful companion of 19 years “Seth” the Border Collie.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday, August 15 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Latty Township.
Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM Sunday, August 14 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation one hour prior to services on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to Grover Hill EMS and Fire Dept.
