Kenneth R. Simpson age 65 died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus Ohio.
He was born in Paulding County Ohio on July 2, 1951 the son of Robert I. and Mable I. (Hartwick) Simpson. On September 16, 1972 he married Deanna D. (Carey) Simpson who survives. He was a member of the First Church of God of Defiance, Ohio. He retired from B.F. Goodrich of Woodburn, Indiana in 2007 after 33 years of service. Ken was an avid golfer who enjoyed working at the Auglaize Golf Club, besides being a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his wife Deanna, one son: Daniel (Liz) Simpson and one daughter: Hollie Simpson both of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Also, one brother: Charles (Susan) Simpson of Cecil, Ohio and one sister: Cathy (Tim) Callahan of Maumee, Ohio. Four Grandchildren: Isaac, Isabel, Addilyn and Evangelene Simpson. He is preceded in death by is parents and a sister: Deloris Simpson Howell.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, September 23, 2016 at the First Church of God located at 561 Carter Road Defiance, Ohio 43512 with calling one hour prior to services. Pastors: Rick Rufenacht and Larry Kennedy will officiate. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery Cecil, Ohio. Visitation will be held at the DenHerder Funeral Home Paulding, Ohio on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM.
