In Northeast Eight Conference action, the New Haven Bulldogs traveled to Norwell to take on the Knights in a game of football. Friday, September 16th was a rainy, dreary evening, but that didn’t stop these teams from playing on! New Haven is a strong contender this year. They easily dominated against the mighty Leo Lions in last week’s game, and went into this game just as confident.
Immediately, the Bulldogs took the lead. They weren’t allowing any footholds for the Knights. By the end of the first quarter, New Haven was leading the board with a score of 26-0. By the second quarter, this momentum slowed a little. However, they still never allowed Norwell to score. The Bulldogs added 2 more touchdowns, bringing the score to 39-0 by halftime.
Going into the second half, New Haven continued playing strong, scoring an additional 21 points. By the end of the third quarter, the Knights have yet to score, while the Bulldogs have brought their score to 60. The fourth quarter was an outlier compared to the others. New Haven was unable to score, but Norwell scored their first and only touchdown. The game ended with a score of 60-6. The Bulldogs added another victory to their record.
