The Paulding High School Band played their instruments as they waited at Fort Wayne International Airport for the Honor Flight to arrive from Washington DC on Thursday, Sept. 22nd. The band performed patriotic music throughout the evening as the Honor Flight members and their escorts walked through a huge crowd of people who lined the airport and the sidewalk outside the airport to welcome them home.
The Honor Flight’s expenses were covered with the funds raised by Paulding Putnam Electric Coop. Several members of Paulding Putnam were fortunate enough to go along as escorts including George Carter, who is shown with the veteran he escorted throughout the day in our nation’s capitol.
