On Star Spangled Banner Day, the 4th graders at Payne Elementary learned about the history of our flag. Mrs. Gloria Fast, a member of the Daughters of the War of 1812, shared a storybook with the students following the events of the War of 1812. Along with that, she and her husband, Bill, showed flag replicas of our country’s past.
