On September 10th, students from Heritage competed in the Indiana State Horticultural Contest held at Purdue University. The students identified plants, placed judging classes and completed a written examination.
Heritage Junior Team-(l-r) Owen Van Horn, Nick Shirey and Myra Berning
In the junior division the team of Myra Berning, Owen Van Horn and Nick Shirey placed 5th. Individual placings are Nick Shirey placed 10th, Myra Berning placed 12th and Owen Van Horn 19th.
In the senior FFA division the team of Tyler Andrews, Noah Berning, and Quin Schoof placed 11th. Individually, Noah Berning placed 9th, Tyler Andrews placed 55th and Quin Schoof placed 66th.

In the senior 4-H division, Colleenia Shirey placed 2nd.
