Several Woodlan FFA members recently attended the SOAR conference held at the Indiana FFA Leadership Center. SOAR is an acronym for Seeking Opportunities and Achieving Results. The conference theme was “Soaring To New Heights”, that was paired with a roller coaster setting. The students attended the three day conference to receive training on setting goals, team building activities, learning Career Development Events, and having fun learning new FFA opportunities. The conference concluded with a morning session of reflections, writing happy grams and camp recognition awards. Woodlan FFA members on different camp teams received certificates for their achievements. The following students were recognized: Ashleigh VanHorn and Breanna Allgeier, 2nd place in Parliamentary Procedure and Top Roller Coaster team, Evelyn Spieth, 2nd in quiz bowl and Legendary Coaster Team, Tyler Miller, Most Thriller Coaster Team, and Ellyssa Speith, Top Investor Coaster Team.
