PAULDING, OH:
Mary Katherine Gray, age 93 died Friday, December 30, 2016.
She was born March 27, 1923 in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Bessie Mae (Leslie) Hartwig. On June 24, 1940 she married Kenneth H. Gray, who preceded her in death on October 24, 1982. She retired in 1978 from Paulding County Hospital as Office Manager. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Briceton, OH.
She is survived by a son, Rex (Pam) Gray, Paulding; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Fred (Louise) Hartwig, Van Wert, Ray Hartwig, Haviland; sisters, Frieda Hammons, Cloverdale, OH, and Deanna Adkins, Oak Hill, OH.
She is also preceded in death by a son, Eugene A. Gray; brothers, Paul and Richard Hartwig; and sisters, Jennie Green, Carrie Cotterman, and Florence Sanderson.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will follow in Hedges Cemetery, Jackson Township, Paulding County.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Tuesday, January 3 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Briceton, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
