James Paul Spriggs, age 71 passed away on January 16, 2017 in Edmond Oklahoma.
James (Jim) was born Dec 19, 1945 to Paul and Roma Spriggs. He grew up in Paulding OH and attended Defiance Collage to complete his B.S. Jim taught history for Antwerp public schools and also worked for DenHerder’s funeral home after college. He then continued his education at Ohio Northern University, earning his Juris Doctorate. Upon completion of his Doctorate Jim returned to Paulding to set up his law practice. He served on the Disciplinary committee for the Ohio State Bar Association and maintained his law practice for 30 plus years
In addition to the law Jim loved to travel, going to his lake cottage, boats, cars photography and music. He was a member of the Ft Wayne Shrine Temple, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of St Lukes United Methodist church.
Jim’s sense of humor, inquisitive mind and zest for life will be missed by all of those he leaves behind. He is survived by: his best friend and companion, George Anna Spriggs, his daughter, Natalie Anderson (Spriggs) and Eric Anderson, his son, Franklin Spriggs and Holly Heinzer. In addition he leaves behind 5 Grandchildren: Jacob, James, Vivian and Eliana Spriggs Anderson and Benjamin Spriggs.
His parents Paul and Roma Spriggs precede him in death.
