This year’s freshman class of Paulding FFA members are learning to weld in their intro to ag class. The students had to learn proper protective clothing for welding, and safety and handling skills prior to working in the shop. After preparing with safety tests, and many fun learning activities the members finally get to show off their skills in the ag shop. Students have nothing but great feedback on the welding lesson, freshman Jacob Rose and Braxton Conley say “Welding is a good skill to have, and one that we can use in our future.” Also freshman Kennedy Foor and Hannah Eckhart say “It is a unique skill for girls to have, and although they do not plan to pursue a career involving welding they still had fun learning to weld.” Paulding FFA continues to grow well rounded leaders each and every year.
