Beginning in April, the revival ministry Beautiful Feet, will be conducting a training seminar called Preparing for the Harvest. It is in advance of a Beautiful Feet Celebration coming in this summer. Three 2-hour training sessions will be conducted over a three-week period, beginning on April 20. Each of the three will be taught twice, so those interested in attending may chose which day they can attend. The first session will be Thursday, April 20 or Saturday, April 22. Second sessions will be on Thursday, April 27 or Saturday, April 29. The last session will be Thursday, May 4 or Saturday, May 6. Thursday classes will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m., while Saturday sessions will run from 9:00-11:00 a.m. All will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Paulding at 114 W. Caroline St. Four main topics will be covered: developing a “disciple-making mentality” versus a “make-a-convert mentality”; easy ways to share one’s faith and the tools with which to do so; effective follow-up with new believers or guests at church; and a framework to develop disciple-making in local churches. Each participant will also be able to complete a spiritual gift assessment. This will help individuals know how God has uniquely gifted them. Preparing for the Harvest contains information and training that would normally cost hundreds of dollars at a conference. Locally, it is being provided for free. Though the seminar is being presented at no cost, registration is required. It can be accomplished by calling Beautiful Feet at 260-920-8248 or by using the online form on their website (romans1015.com), Facebook page or YouTube website. This summer’s celebration, called “Is This the Time?”, is set for Sunday, July 16 through Wednesday, July 19. It will be held in the Wayne Trace High School gymnasium nightly, beginning at 7:00 p.m. “Because there will be many who will make a profession of their faith in Christ during the Beautiful Feet Celebration, we will have coaches trained to provide immediate follow-up with those new Christians,” said Chet Swearingen of Beautiful Feet. “This seminar is mandatory for those who will want to serve in that capacity.” “We are anticipating many people coming to faith in Christ through the Beautiful Feet Celebration, we want to do all we can to ensure Paulding County churches are prepared for the harvest that will be brought in, and this seminar will help meet that need,” concluded Swearingen. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15
