On Thursday, April 27, 2017, Priscilla Pruitt, Mrs. International 2016, visited Mr. Josh Hoeppner’s health class at Antwerp High School to talk to students about the Safe Haven Law. The Safe Haven Infant Protection Act allows a distressed parent to give up an unwanted infant safely, legally, and confidentially using safe boxes at public places like firehouses. Afterwards, Mrs. Pruitt interacted with students on a personal level, talking to them about their own special interests and talents and allowing them to try on her crown.
