Austin Lichty driving the next pitch in for the Archers
Antwerp Archers JH Boys baseball grabbed an early lead on its way to a 9-3 victory over Fairview 8th Grade on Monday.
Antwerp scored on a triple by Luke Krouse, a single by Dylan Hines, and double by Austin Lichty in the first inning. Chase Clark and Luke McDorman singled in the second inning with the Archers scoring 4 runs in the inning.
Austin Lichty earned the win for The Archers. He went five innings, giving up three runs, three hits, and striking out ten.
Antwerp had nine hits in the game. Lichty, Krouse, and Clark each collected multiple hits for Antwerp.
The Archers move to 12-1 on the season.
