Paulding County Hospital has acquired an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in association with the Paulding County Emergency Management Agency. The ATV is equipped with a module for transporting a patient on a stretcher and an EMT. The unit will be made available to EMS Units, Fire Departments, and Law Enforcement for use for off road rescues, searches, fairs, football games, and situations that might make area roads impassable.
The vehicle was purchased by the hospital at the request of Ed Bohn, Paulding County EMA Director to aid area EMS units in fulfilling their mission. When not in use as a transport vehicle it will be used at the hospital in grounds maintenance and snow removal.
