The Paulding County Fairgrounds were a busy place this past week and the West Bend News has been right there with the events going on. The heat was intense all week long for fairgoers and animals alike. On Monday the parade took place starting at 6:30 pm, winding through the path between the vendors and the buildings until the arrived at the bleachers area in front of the swine barn.
Before the selection of the queen and king, Commissioners Tony Zartman and Roy Klopfenstein presented the county flag that flew above the state capitol building to the Jr. Fair Board Representatives.
After the presentation Peggy Emerson announced the 4H king and queen court and each of their achievements and future plans. Kacey Reinhart retired from being the 2016 Queen and is serving as the 2017-2018 State Vice President and also Luke Jackson passed the crown on too. With much anticipation the queen and king were announced: King Blake Miller and Queen Estee Miller. Congratulations to them and all the court for their hard work and dedication they give to 4H.
