Charlie and Joan were married on June 29, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodburn, Indiana by the Rev. Chr. Schmidt. They have been blessed with four children, Jackie (Tom) Lantz, Brent (Buffy), Kim (Tom) Scifres and Kevin (Jenny). Charlie and Joan also have 9 grandchildren and 13 (soon to be 14) great grandchildren.
Charlie started his HVAC career out of the Sheet Metal Local at Fort Wayne Air Conditioning until 1976. He was the founder and owner of Wells Heating & Cooling, Inc. and retired in 2001. Joan worked for BF Goodrich as an Administrative Assistant for 29 years and went on to work at Wells Heating until 1996. They enjoy spending time with family, sewing, and vegetable and flower gardening.
They enjoyed a family vacation with their children in Gulf Shores, Alabama, in April, and will celebrate the occasion with a family dinner at their home in Woodburn.
