Community Health Professionals (CHP) Hospice of Paulding invites you to escape the summer doldrums by serving as a hospice volunteer.
There are many ways you can make a difference. Volunteer opportunities include:
• In-home patient companion – receive free training to prepare you to work directly with hospice patients and families visiting with patients, providing companionship and conversation to them and allowing their caregivers the opportunity to run errands or simply rest while you are with their loved one.
• Special events volunteers – help with events periodically throughout the year held to support hospice patient care. Duties may include making phone calls, gathering donated items, and assisting at community events.
• Administrative volunteers – help with office tasks like filing, answering phones and general office duties.
Hours are flexible; volunteers can decide how much or little time they wish to commit. For more information or to volunteer, call Rhonda Leininger at 419-399-4708.
