At their July 10 luncheon meeting the Paulding County Retired Teachers Association honored four teachers who had given 25 or more years of service to the students of Paulding County. The honored teachers were Sarah Pier, Cheryl Schier, Sharon Healy, and Patricia Ward. Sarah Pier and Cheryl Schier retired in 2017. Sharon Healy and Patricia Ward had previously retired, but their names were inadvertently missed at the time they retired. The names of these teachers will be added to a plaque which hangs in the front room of the Pauldiing County Historical building.
The committee members that organized the program were Pam Young, chairperson, Karen Walker, and Marcia Wiebe.
Dr. Martin Miller, Superintendent of Antwerp Local Schools, was the speaker for the meeting. Bruce Hodges, District II Director for the Ohio Retired Teachers Association, attended the meeting.
