Verl Dasher, Commissioner for the Boy Scout program in Paulding, was the July 6 speaker at the Paulding Kiwanis Club. Dasher has been involved in scouting since he was eight-years old when he was a member of the program in Grover Hill. One of the many goals of scouting is to learn good citizenship, which Dasher says “begins at home”. He also pointed out that Paulding has a higher number of Eagle Scouts then other counties. Interested boys between the ages of 11 and 18 may come to a meeting held at the youth center on the fairgrounds on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. Cub Scouts, for the younger boys, will start meeting at the Lutheran Church in Paulding on Mondays at 7:00 beginning in September. Michelle Stahl was the program host.
