Burl and Ellie Barnes are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married on July 21, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in St. Paris, Ohio. Officiating were the Rev. Dr. Franklin Strobel, grandfather of the groom, and Rev. Mason Grove.
Burl and Ellie have four children; Lesta (Paul) Searles, Laurie Barnes, Scott (Christine) Barnes, and Amy Barnes. They have four grandchildren, Adrienne, Alexandra, Mia and Emmet, and one great-grandchild, Kayla.
They will be celebrating with their family nad with a short trip in the fall.
