LEARN Resource Center is now accepting registration for its before and after school programs in New Haven. Program sites are located at New Haven Primary and New Haven Intermediate. Before school program runs from 7:00 a.m. until school begins. After school program runs from after school until 6:00 p.m. Programs are for students who attend NHP and NHI. You can register online at www.learnresourcecenter.org.
The before and after school programs through LEARN are more than just child care. Children receive homework help, an afterschool snack, and participate in fine arts, STEM, and recreational activities. Lauren Brune, Communications Coordinator at LEARN, says “We believe children in East Allen County should have a safe place to go before and after school where learning and growing continue beyond the classroom, and I think our programs do that. Where else can your child get help with their math homework, and then watch a demonstration by Science Central or be part of a dance routine when Fort Wayne Dance Collective comes to visit?”
LEARN also has an afterschool program at Heritage Elementary. This program runs afterschool until 6:00 p.m. for car riders and 5:00 p.m. for bus riders. You can register for this program, at www.learnresourcenter.org.
