St. Paul United Methodist Church in Payne, Ohio is planning a chicken barbecue on Saturday, August 19th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Menu includes: Quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, roll and butter, dessert and beverage. Carryout and delivery will be available. For delivery call: 419-263-3017 or 419-786-9223. The barbecue will be cooked by Pickett BBQ, who also has a stand at the Bluffton Street Fair. Plan to stay for the music and trivia games.
St. Paul UMC recently welcomed Rev. Del Bonar as the new pastor. In addition to serving St. Paul, Rev. Bonar also serves the Paulding United Methodist Church. The service at Payne is at 9:00 a.m. and the Paulding service is at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.
Rev. Bonar and his wife have five children: Nathan, Cathy, Eden, Lily and Carter. He served the Methodist church in Whitehouse for the last nine years. He graduated from University of Toledo Law School and went to seminary at United Theological Seminary in Dayton. He has been in the ministry for twenty five years.
