“My name is Steve Snodgrass. I am originally from western PA where my fondest memories revolve around becoming an Eagle Scout and playing Football. I initially attended Maine Maritime Academy and spent time in the Naval Reserve before arriving at Taylor University on a football scholarship to pursue a degree in education. The highlight of my Taylor experience was meeting my wife, Lori. After college I worked for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and several different school corporations. In 2007 I arrived at Heritage High School where I taught Social Studies/PE and was Head Football Coach. In 2014 I became Administrative Assistant at Southwick Elementary and discovered a previously unknown passion for elementary education. The past school year I was Assistant Principal at New Haven Middle School.
My desire to work in education arose from three main factors. My own high school experience was made significant by the relationship that I had with an influential high school football coach. Secondly, I have always enjoyed working and interacting w/ children due to the general joy they bring to life. Finally, I view the field of education as an opportunity to leave a positive impact in life. I am thrilled to be at New Haven Intermediate and will work tirelessly to make a positive impact in our community.
Lori and I have lived in New Haven with our daughters, Rebekah and Abigail, since 2007. During our free time we enjoy family time at the lake, traveling, and anything related to football.”
