WOODBURN – Justin Durkes completed 9 of 13 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns and host Woodlan rolled to a 60-0 win over visiting Prairie Heights Friday night in high school football.
The Warriors struck for 21 first quarter points to break the game open, adding 20 more in the second period to make it 41-0 at the break.
Woodlan led 54-0 at the end of three quarters.
The Warriors totaled 22 first downs in the contest while the Woodlan defense allowed only three Panther first downs. Woodlan’s offense totaled 583 yards in the contest while Prairie Heights ended with negative six yards for the game.
Jack Rhoades ran for 177 yards on 15 carries for the Warriors, who improve to 2-0 on the season.
Amarion Hicks added two receptions for 144 yards and Donald Guerrant picking up four catches for 69 yards. Ah’Lan Howard also recorded 61 receiving yards on a pair of receptions.
Durkes hooked up with Howard on a 22-yard scoring strike to open the game’s scoring before finding Hicks on touchdown tosses of 62 and 82 yards.
Guerrant had a pair of second quarter scoring receptions from 46 and 9 yards while Aaron Hahn picked up a 14-yard touchdown catch.
Rhoades scored on a 47-yard scamper in the third quarter and Reggie Blackmon plunged six yards for a score.
Ben Reidy hooked up with Trevor Wallace on a 13-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors open Allen County Athletic Conference on Friday when they visit rival Heritage.
