Milan Center Feed and Grain to Host 13th Annual Pony Parade

On Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m, Milan Center Feed and Grain will host their 13th Annual Pony Parade.  Area children decorate and show off their ponies, carts and wagons. Last year over 60 drivers and 300 riders ranging from ages 4 to 14 participated in this fun annual event for the community.

To register for the Pony Parade, pick-up a registration form at Milan Center’s store Monday – Friday 8-6 or Saturday 8-5 or visit our website www.mcfeeds.com. Register for the parade by September 13th to ensure an entry prize.

Family, friends and the community are encouraged to come show their support. Bring your chairs or blankets and find a spot along the parade route. The parade will start at Milan Center on Doty Road and will travel South on Milan Center Road to Irving Road and return to Milan Center Feed and Grain.

Come before the parade for a free-will donation pulled-pork lunch sponsored by Kenn- Feld of Woodburn and prepared by the local Amish community. Immediately following the parade there will be a benefit auction to support Cornerstone Workshop and Activities of Allen County. Some of the items that are part of the auction include John Deere Toys, Stihl handheld leaf blower, a calf, several quilts, Purina, ADM Animal Nutrition and Kalmbach Feeds horse feed and products, loads of wood and sawdust bedding, and so much more.

Donations for the lunch and proceeds from the auction will benefit Cornerstone Workshop and Activities, an Amish non-profit organization, providing services for disabled adults in Allen County. In addition, Kenn-Feld of Woodburn will be donating 2% of your purchase of any John Deere CWP and Woods Equipment Sales from September 16th – October 16th to Cornerstone Workshop and Activities. You must mention the Pony Parade at time of purchase for the donation to apply.

Throughout the day there will be several activities to enjoy. The morning will start off at 9:00 a.m. with coffee, donuts and a bake sale. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the old Milan Center school basement. In the afternoon, there will be popcorn and root beer floats to enjoy. Kenn-Feld of Woodburn will be here from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with product demonstrations and machine displays.
