Due to the overwhelming use of the Bookmobile by Grover Hill patrons, an additional stop in that village has been added on Fridays to the weekly route. The Bookmobile was established in 2011 by the Paulding County Carnegie Library to deliver library service to the unreached residents of Paulding County. This mobile service is able to provide library materials to residents who cannot travel to a brick and mortar branch.
The Bookmobile loans about 12,000 items a year and provides the first library experience for county preschoolers via onboard storytimes and engaging activities. The Bookmobile also reaches the non-ambulatory residents of county nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
The Bookmobile does not operate when schools are closed due to hazardous weather conditions. Always call the library if there is any doubt the Bookmobile may not be able to run at 419-399-2032. The onboard phone number of the Bookmobile is 419-670-3424.
