Todd A. Switzer age 48 died September 24, 2017 in Lucas County Ohio as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Paulding County Ohio on May 10, 1969 the son of Robert A. and Barbara Ann (Ashbaugh) Switzer who survive. On May 4 1990 he married Angela Renee Lothamer who died September 5 2005. He was a RN in Advanced Intensive Care Unit (AICU) at Pro Medica Toledo Hospital. He graduated with his BSN from Mercy College of Ohio 2013 after receiving his LPN degree from Northwest State Community College.
Surviving a daughter: Ashley M. (Chyanne Kent) Switzer of Defiance Ohio, Fiancee Tina Dalton of Paulding Ohio, his parents Robert and Barbara Switzer, a sister Vicki Switzer of Melrose Ohio, two brothers Brent (Kristi Thornburg) Switzer of Hicksville Ohio and Larry Switzer of Melrose Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his wife Angela and his paternal grandparents Asa and Frances (Wable) Switzer and maternal grandparents Carroll (Casey) and Elva Louise (Bill) McClain Ashbaugh.
Todd was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. In his spare time, he enjoyed visiting the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and the Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum in Auburn Indiana. He also enjoyed photography, woodworking, welding, collecting and metal detecting and watching the Cleveland Indians in his spare time. Todd was known as gourmet cook by his friends, family and coworkers and loved his special BBQ sauce. He had two four-legged children named Harley and Quinn that he loved dearly. Todd had a passion for nursing. He helped not only his patients at Promedica besides he helped his fellow classmates succeed in their nursing careers. He was a very loving and caring person who touched the lives of many people. He was a member of the Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum and the Black Swamp Cruiser Club Chapter #06.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM October 3, 2017 at the DenHerder Funeral Home Paulding. Rev. David Meriwether will officiate. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery Paulding Ohio. Visitation will be on October 2, 2017 at the DenHerder Funeral Home Paulding Ohio from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday one hour prior to his funeral service.
