The Archers hosted 9 teams at this year’s Antwerp Cross Country Invitational event on Saturday, October 7 at the Riverside Veteran’s Memorial Park in Antwerp. The morning was the perfect conditions for the running events that involved from elementary all the way to whatever age you were! The day started with the seniors being recognized from all the schools.
The girls team from Edgerton 37 came in first followed by Fairview 45, Parkway 71, Antwerp 85, Paulding 115, Hicksville, Holgate, Ottoville, Wayne Trace. The top 10 girls were Makayla Sullivan HK, Raena Willett HO, Stefanie Thiel EG, Elyse Manz PA, Treya Conn PW, Hanna Hug EG, Leah Layman FV, Madison Freeman EG, Gabriella McCool FV, Taylor King FV.
For the boys the top team was Fairview 50, Parkway 72, Edgerton 74, Antwerp 108, Paulding 117, Holgate 130, Ottoville 141, Hicksville, Wayne Trace. The top 10 individuals were Brendan Siefker OV, Matte Gaerke PW, Kyle Roth PW, Jake Ryan AN, Treyvon Hastings FV, Lane Kolb FV, Tyson Curry EG, Coby Jones EG, Bailey Manz PA, Brandon Laney AN.
