Mr. Mike Lance, teacher a Leo High School was recently named Secondary Teacher of the Year for the State of Indiana by the American Legion at its annual State convention. Mr. Lance was selected by the Leo American Legion post 409 for the district level award. He was nominated for his ever present connection with the school, students and his dedication to not only his profession but the entire community. He was nominated because of how he incorporates community service projects in his classroom that benefits veterans and active duty service members. As of result of winning this honor, the American Legion presented a $500 grant to Leo High School.
At a recent EACS board meeting, Mr. Lance was recognized for his hard work and dedication to students and community! Congratulations Mr. Mike Lance.
