Krystal Albright from Paulding has been named Athlete of the Year for 2017 by Special Olympics Ohio.
This award recognizes the athlete who inspires others with true skill, courage, sharing and joy. Krystal has shared the importance of Special Olympics by speaking to numerous groups.
She holds the title of Ohio State Champion 2017 for cycling. This is her fourth year as champion as she also held the title in 2013, 2014, and 2016. Krystal began competing in cycling in 2010. Before that she successfully competed in basketball, track & field and bowling
Krystal was also honored by the Ohio House of Representative and was presented with a Resolution at the Ohio State House. Soon she will be traveling back to the Ohio Statehouse where she will be representing Paulding County Board of Developmental Disabilities as Ohio recognizes and celebrates the 50th anniversary of Ohio’s County Boards of DD.
