The Antwerp Conservation Club held two charity fundraisers this past weekend for Christmas for Kids. Saturday was a center fire pistol match. Sunday was a still shoot.
Saturday’s pistol match was an IDPA style event. We set up five fun and challenging stages. A shot timer and scoring zones are used to get an accumulative score. Fifteen shooters came out to test their skills. Results can be found at www.practiscore.com. Click on view results, and search for ACC IDPA November 4, 2017. There is two matches with the same title name. Ours has the “,” in the date.
On Sunday we held a still shoot between the down pours of rain. We had a small group of dedicated shooters show up with the forecast of severe weather. Our club has a covered firing line so the rain was not as much of an issue. Once the high winds and rain died down, we were ready to go. We were able to run ten groups while missing the severe weather. The shooters and workers enjoyed the sloppy joes, hot dogs and chips that the club had available. Next still shoot is December 3rd at noon.
