Mary Grace Lake, 97, called to her Heavenly home on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Parkview Hospital – Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born on January 20, 1920 in Woodburn, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Effie (Harrmann) Lindemuth. She was a member of Woodburn United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women. She delivered newspapers for both the Journal Gazette and the New Sentinel for many years. She retired from Parkview Hospital after 21 years and was a member of the Parkview Hospital Ambassadors. She loved her family, reading, flowers, and euchre with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Kenneth) Hirsch of New Haven, Jerry (Beverly) Lake of Woodburn, and Nick (Peggy) Lake of New Haven; ten grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 30 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Morris “Jerry” Lake in 2000; siblings, Hallie Koch, Anna Laura Townsend, Bonnie Spurling, Albert Lindemuth and Kelly Lindemuth.

Funeral service was 10 a.m. Monday at the Woodburn United Methodist Church, 4300 Becker Rd., Woodburn with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Terry McDonald officiated. Calling was also 1 to 5p.m. Sunday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan. Preferred memorials are Woodburn United Methodist Church or Parkview Hospice Randallia.
