The Antwerp Junior High wrestling team recently competed at home in the Antwerp Invitational on January 6, 2018. Of the 5 wrestlers competing, 4 of them were able to place in the top 4 of their respective weight classes. Finishing 4th on the day with 1 pin was 8th grader Brady Hatlevig at 142 pounds. Earning 3rd place finishes for the tournament were 7th grader Eli Reinhart at 92 pounds and 8th grader Caleb Wilson at 150 pounds. Narrowly missing a 1st place finish was 8th grader Trayce Lengacher at 98 pounds. Lengacher was able to record 2 pins on his way to a 2nd place finish. Congratualtions to all of the Archer wrestlers for the hard work so far this season and be sure to catch them at the Pilot Invitational next weekend at Ayersville. Good luck and Go Archers!!
The Antwerp wrestling coaches would also like to remind any child in kindergarten through 6th grade that we have started our wrestling club. Practices for the wrestling club will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to approximately 6:30 p.m. at the wrestling club located at 204 Archer Drive right next to the Manor House.
