ANTWERP – The Lady Archers of Antwerp hosted North Central Saturday evening and it was all Archers as the blue and white rolled to a 49-21 victory.
Antwerp seized control of the game in the first quarter, putting up 25 points in the opening eight minutes of action in recording a 25-2 lead after one period.
The Archers added ten second quarter points compared to seven for the Eagles with Antwerp taking a 35-9 halftime advantage. Antwerp was on top 43-16 entering the final period.
Rachel Williamson led the way for the Lady Archers with 23 points with Hope Smith chipping in 14 markers.
Heather Oberlin added six for Antwerp followed by Tiera Gomez 3, Ashley Miller 2 and Kortney Smith 1.
North Central was paced by Sidney McKarns with 7 points while Lindsay Brown added 4 markers.
Other scorers for the Lady Eagles were Payton Taylor 3, Kayleigh Siebeneck 2, Madyson Bonney 2, Erin Ryan 2 and Taylor Fenicle 1.
Antwerp hosts Hicksville in Green Meadows Conference action Friday evening and the Lady Archers will welcome in Continental on Tuesday, January 23.
