The Defiance County Courthouse will be the starting point for the annual march for life sponsored by Mother Teresa Respect for Life, January 22, starting at noon to unite in prayer and walking for the voices of the unborn who cannot speak up for themselves.
The days activities begin with Mass at St Marys Catholic Church at 8:00 a.m. celebrated by Father Ben Muhlencamp Following Mass there will be Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament all day ending with Benediction at 4:45 with Deacon Mark Homier officiating. Jamie Blank will be the host and master of ceremonies. Johnnie Beeler from Culture Project missionaries will start with prayer Barry Sheets who works as a legislative consultant for many pro life groups will talk on a core of 3 strands: prayer presence and policy to restore a culture of life.
Kara Shininger who is a Mom of nine children will speak of saying yes to life where the real beauty is…in our children. Holy Cross Catholic School Defiance will give a presentation by the Light House team. Johnnie Beeler, who is from Culture Project is a group of young people set out to restore culture through the experience of virtue where they proclaim the dignity of the human person inviting our culture to become fully alive Jim Zipfel will share his God given gift of music with us Pastor Larry Kennedy who is pastor and counselor of First Church of God will speak about psalm 139 where He knit us together in our mother’s womb and Genesis where we are made in His image ending with prayer we unite our prayers for the babies inside the womb who cannot speak for themselves in union with all others praying for life
