Kiwanis members met for their weekly meeting on Thursday January 18th. There were two guests in attendance that have both shown great interest in becoming a member of Kiwanis. Don’t forget, Kiwanis has a rolling membership all year, meaning membership throughout the year with no deadline. It’s a fantastic way to represent your business, network with others, educate yourself and your business on upcoming events and news, and help children right here in your community.
This week Kiwanis’ guest speaker was Todd Wolfrum who is running for U.S. Congress. Wolfrum is from Van Wert and has family ties in Paulding County. He attended Bluffton University, and later law school, then shortly dropping out and began working in factories and other jobs. He later returned to law school at the University of Toledo, College of Law. In 2012 he ran for a Van Wert commissioner seat and won, and later ran in 2016 to win again. Wolfrum realized he wanted to make an impact beyond his county and wanted to give voters another option, so he his now running for Congress. If you would like to know more about Todd check out his website at www.toddwolfrum.com. Kiwanis members enjoyed his presentation and look forward to next week’s meeting on January 25th at noon.
