Woodlan quenches Starfires

Woodlan boys basketball hosted the Starfires on Thursday, February 1st. The game between South Adams and Woodlan started with the Star fires picking up the tip off. The early possession did not last long. Woodlan ran back and forth on the court, dominating the first period over the guest team. Micah Robbins and Aaron Hahn were passing around until one or the other could drive in or get the open shot.

The second quarter saw the Starfires pickup their offense and one of the ways was drawing fouls from Ah’Lan Howard. Everyone watching Woodlan knows that Howard is aggressive and by the half he had 3 fouls on him and one was a technical. He always plays hard down under! The half ended 33-21 and Woodlan finished on top.

The third and fourth periods kept strong for the home team with Mitch Mendenhall posting points on several good jump shots.

The game finished with Woodlan leading the entire game at 65-44 over South Adams.
