The Antwerp Conservation Club held a still shoot Sunday, February 4th to help raise money for their 2018 scholarship program. This was the third out of four still shoots to help area seniors with their college expenses.
The still shoots have been lightly attended so far this year, but shooters have been generous. We are giving out two $400 scholarships for 2018. The area schools eligible for for these scholarships are Antwerp, Fairview, Hicksville, Paulding, Wayne Trace and Woodland. Area seniors can ask their guidance counselor for a copy of the form or go to their website and download a copy. These forms must be mailed back by April 15th.
I would like to take a moment to give a shout out to all of those who help put on our many events. We ask a lot of this core group. They give willing of their time and talents. If you are with any organization, you know what I mean. You can have a large number members, but it’s the same ones getting involved and making things happen. These people are the most giving and deserve a lot of appreciation. If you know someone like this in your organization or club, tell them they are appreciated for all they do. Without them, many organizatios would fall apart.
