Rose Hart, 97, of Harlan, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at The Cedars in Leo. Born on July 24, 1920 in Allen County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Zuber) Worden. A graduate of Harlan High School, Rose was employed with Walt Metcalf, Harlan, for 15 years. She later was employed with L.S. Ayres for over 15 years before retiring in 1982. She was married on July 25, 1938 to the late Howard Betz and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Harlan. She enjoyed working in her yard; tending to her vegetable and flower garden. She is survived by her children, Richard (Patty) Betz of Grabill, Marilyn (Ralph) Graft of Harlan, and Karen Augsberger of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one step-great great grandchild; brother, Calvin Worden of Hicksville; and sister, Garnet McCoy of Defiance. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Elwood Hart; brothers, Charles Worden and Robert Worden; and sister, Florence Trostel. Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 S.R. 37, Harlan, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Murray Clugston officiating. Calling will also be from 4-8pm on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan.
