The Lady Raiders travelled to Defiance High School on Saturday, February 24 to take on North Central who had previously defeated Fayette. The North Central Team was no competition for the Raiders from the time the game started to the end, the Raiders were in complete control, winning 52-22.
Even though the Raiders didn’t get the tip off, it didn’t change the outcome of the game. Claire Sinn was on top of her game with 18 points. 6 of those were from 3 point baskets. The Raiders earned quite the difference in the first period over their rivals. The Eagles struggled to ever make a successful flight take off in this match when the second period they were only able to strike up 1 point in the whole second period. The half ended at 19-7.
In the next half, both teams did better, but the lady Raiders continued to inch forward to the sectional conquest. Miriam Sinn also sunk 2 3-point baskets. Sadie Sinn had the top rebounds for the Raiders with 6.
The Raiders all celebrated when they took the victory, later each helping to cut down the net.
