Panthers get NWC win over Pirates

PAULDING – Audrey Manz struck out six and limited visiting Bluffton to one run in leading the Paulding Lady Panthers to a 3-1 Northwest Conference softball victory over the Pirates.

The maroon and white scored single runs in the first, third and fifth to pick up the win. Bluffton got its lone run in the top of the first.

Haylee Dominique had a single and a double for the Lady Panthers while also driving in two runs. Asia Arellano and Jalynn Parrett also had singles for Paulding, with Arellano scoring twice and Parrett touching home plate once.

Brinkley Garmatter had three singles for the Lady Pirates with Katie Prater picking up two singles and a run batted in. Averey Rumer and Libby Schaadt added singles for Bluffton.

Schaadt took the loss for the Pirates, pitching six inning and striking out seven Panther hitters but allowing four hits and a walk.
