This year’s Cleveland St. Ribfest in Antwerp sponsored by the Antwerp Community Development Committee (ACDC) will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2018. There will be a full day’s worth of activities in which community members and friends will be able to participate.
One of those events will be the Ribfest River Run 5K Race. The race starts at 9:00 a.m. Race day sign in and registration will be from 8:00-8:40 a.m. Run or walk. Strollers welcome

The race is manually timed and all times are posted following the event. The race starts and finishes at Riverside Veterans Memorial Park. The course map can be found at http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rld=560858.

Following the race, the downtown area will open at 11:00 a.m. Serving up the ribs that day will be Shigs ‘N Pit out of Fort Wayne, IN; Country Lane BBQ (last year’s winner of best sauce and people’s choice) out of Perrysburg, OH; Corner Stone Kitchen (last year’s winner of judge’s choice) from Edgerton, OH; and Timmy’s BBQ from Garrett, IN.
Other foods that will be available: soft serve ice cream from the Hicksville fire deptartment; lemon shake ups, steamed corn, and curly fries from the Antwerp Boy Scouts; pulled pork and slushies from the Antwerp Ball Assocation; brats, hot dogs, and burgers from the Antwerp Ladies Fire Aux.; pop and water from the ACDC; and beer from the VFW.
Rib vendors also doing sides again also this year: Corner Stone Kitchen with coleslaw; Timmy’s with baked beans; Country Lane with cheesy potatoes; and Shigs ‘N Pit with green chile mac and cheese.
