On Monday, April 16, Deputy Renollet from the Paulding County Dog Shelter visited the first and second grade classrooms at Antwerp Elementary School. He outlined his duties as the dog warden, explained the importance of dog tags, and shared the needs of the shelter. Now as part of an economics unit, the first and second graders will make dog treats, bandanas, and bird feeders to sell to staff and students. The money they make will be used to donate to the shelter and to purchase supplies for the shelter dogs.
