ANTWERP – The Woodlan boys and girls track teams posted a second place finish in the Antwerp Track Invitational on Friday night.
Churubusco won the meet with 130 points while the Warriors were second at 123 points.
Woodlan’s 400 meter relay squad took first place with a time of 44.08 and the 1600 really team also won after posting a time of 3:35.06. The Warriors were finished second in the 3200 relay.
Justin Durkes claimed the title in the long jump with a leap of 20-5 and Sebastien Wilson won the 800 run with a time of 2:04.
Other Warrior placers included Isaac Meyer (fourth, shot put), Ty’ran Jones (fifth, long jump), Max Moore (second, high jump and fourth, 300 hurdles), Trevor Wiedenhoeft (sixth, high jump), Jack Stuckey (third, pole vault), Jake Gentz (fourth, pole vault), Justin Durkes (second, 110 hurdles), Logan Palm (sixth, 110 hurdles and fifth, 300 hurdles), Amarion Hicks (second, 100 and 200 dash), Ah’lan Howard (third, 100 dash), Eric Fuller (third, 400 dash) and Ty Reed (fifth, 3200 run).
On the girls side, Fairview won the meet with 151 points with the Lady Warriors totaling 104 points to claim second.
Abbey Gentz and Te’shiya McCarter were both double winners for Woodlan.
Gentz recorded a jump of 15-6-1/2 to win the long jump before taking first in the 800 run in 2:34. McCarter picked up first places in both the 100 dash (12.61) and 200 dash (26.43).
Addie Bayman also was victorious in the 400 dash with a time of 1:00.79.
The Lady Warrior 400 relay team (52.08) and 1600 relay (4:19.06) claimed first place as well. Woodlan was fourth in both the 800 and 3200 relays.
Also picking up points for the Lady Warriors were Lydia Dyer (second, 1600 run and fourth, 800 run), Sydni Klopfenstein (tied for fifth, high jump; sixth, 100 hurdles and fifth, 300 hurdles), Bayman (fifth, pole vault), Jo’mari Smith (fifth, 200 dash) and Katie Kurtz (seventh, 400 dash).
