ALLOWANCE OF CLAIMS
Warrants documented as 241094 through 241144 for County Bills were approved and certified to the County Auditor for payment.
IN THE MATTER OF APPROVING ‘THEN AND NOW’ PURCHASE ORDERS AND PAYMENTS
WHEREAS, the Paulding County Auditor has certified the following “Then and Now” purchase order number and payment included in the Allowance of Claims on April 2, 2018, Warrant number 241141 in the amount of $199.00; and
WHEREAS, it is certified that both at the time that the contract or order was made (“then”), and at the time that the County Auditor is completing the certification (“now”), that sufficient funds were available or in the process of collection, to the credit of a proper fund, properly appropriated and free from any previous encumbrance; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code §5705.41(D)(1), these purchases must be approved by resolution of the Board of County Commissioners; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Paulding County Commissioners approve the Then and Now Purchase Orders as submitted by the Auditor; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Board of County Commissioners, County of Paulding, State of Ohio concerning the adoption of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Board of County Commissioners, and that all deliberations of this Board of County Commissioners and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section §121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
A motion was made by Mr. Roy Klopfenstein to go into executive session at 8:05 a.m. with the Paulding County Prosecutor to discuss legal matters. The motion was seconded by Mr. Mark Holtsberry. All members voting yea.
IN THE MATTER OF AUTHORIZING THE PAULDING COUNTY ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE 2018 COUNTY CHIP SEAL PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby authorize Travis McGarvey, Paulding County Engineer, to advertise in a paper of general circulation within the County for two consecutive weeks for bids for the 2018 County Chip Seal Project.
IN THE MATTER OF ACCEPTING PAULDING COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CAFETERIA PLAN FOR 2018
WHEREAS, Paulding County Commissioners, hereby amends and restates the provisions of the Paulding County Commissioners Cafeteria Plan with Premium Payment and HSA Components, as amended, effective as of January 1, 2018.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby adopt the Paulding County Commissioners Cafeteria Plan effective January 1, 2018.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
A motion was made by Mr. Mark Holtsberry to go into executive session at 1:15 p.m. with the Paulding County Sheriff to discuss personnel matters. The motion was seconded by Mr. Roy Klopfenstein. All members voting yea.
At 3:15 p.m. all members present agreed to adjourn the executive session and go into regular session.
Meeting Notes of Appointments
• Ed Bohn, EMA Director – Mr. Bohn presented several documents to the Commissioners for their review. Those documents included, a Security and Emergency Response Training for Mr. Bohn to attend, a Memorandum of Understanding for a generator for EMA, a draft document for the Red Cross. Mr. Bohn is also looking at having emergency guidebooks made for Paulding County residents to follow. Mr. Bohn updated the Commissioners on the Emergency Response Training facility and informed them of his meeting with APlus Propane on Monday.
