This week at Kiwanis, members gathered for lunch and heard from Kiwanis members Dave Burtch and Erica Willitzer. They presented on behalf of the Paulding County Vision Board. The Vision Board is made up of representatives from all over the county who work together to make progress in Paulding County. Partnered with Maumee Valley Planning and funded by the Paulding County Commissioners, the Vision Board is focused on surveying the public and local schools to gather information on how to help the county as a whole apply for grants. Grants that could be awarded if multiple villages or townships bonded together to fix the same problems. The Vision Board is presenting their comprehensive plan to the public on Tuesday May 22nd at 7 PM at the OSU Extension Building. To view the plan you can visit their website at pauldingcountyvisionboard.com. “This won’t just be a plan that sits on a shelf,” says Willitzer. Community engagement is the key to success. Kiwanis members will meet next Thursday over lunch.
