On May 11, 2018, the 7th graders of Paulding Middle School had an end of the year D.A.R.E. party. The 7th graders have been involved with the D.A.R.E. programs since the beginning of the school year. During the party, Paulding Superintendent Ken Amstutz addressed the students. A few of the 7th graders talked about what D.A.R.E. means to them. Ms. Bradford spoke on behalf of the Middle School teachers, Deputy Mendez spoke to the students and the students signed a Drug Free pledge. The party ended with 7th grade students enjoying cookies and juice.
“I am so proud of these 7th grade students! Hearing what D.A.R.E. meant to them, showed how important it is to have the D.A.R.E. program at the Middle School level”, says Deputy Mendez. The middle school D.A.R.E. curriculum teaches kids the importance of their choices and how they need to think before they act.
